Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms of Use is to make sure that the members of the <Research Institute of Asian Women at Sookmyung Women's University> (hereafter, ‘RIAW’) are provided with basic information and rules on the terms and conditions of use.
Article 2 (Effect and Modification of Terms)
- ① The contents of this Agreement shall become effective upon acceptance of the membership and announcement.
- ② The contents of this rule may be amended (modified, deleted or added) if it is deemed necessary by the management of this site, and the revised rules will take effect in the same way as in the above ①.
Article 3 (Outside Terms and Conditions) Items not specified in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Telecommunications Basic Act, Telecommunications Business Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 4 (Scope of Membership)
- ① It stipulates membership to only those who have joined the membership.
- ② Non-members can not use bulletin boards in specific areas.
- ③ Other matters not mentioned are subject to the general membership standard.
Article 5 (Membership Obligations)
- ① The member shall comply with the matters stipulated in these Terms and Conditions.
- ② Full members shall not do the following acts.
- 1. Damage or infringe upon the honor of another person without just cause
- 2. Actions undermine the public order or public morals
- 3. Acts that damage or impair the honor of the site
- 4. Acts that threaten national security or are considered to be connected with crime
- 5. Acting as a member in violation of these Terms and Conditions
- 6. Any other violation of existing law
Chapter 2 Contract of Use Agreement
Article 6 (Establishment of Use Agreement) After signing the agreement that the user agrees to the agreement, the user can fill in the membership information according to the subscription form set by the RIAW and receive the services of the RIAW by accepting the consent of the RIAW.
Article 7 (Reservation of acceptance and rejection of application for use)
- ① The RIAW may suspend or refuse the acceptance of applications for use by the applicant if the following matters arise:
- 1. If you applied with someone else's name.
- 2. If you applied with false information.
- 3. When it is deemed necessary for the convenience of the RIAW.
- 4. If the purpose is to hinder the public order or morals of the RIAW.
- 5. In case the consent of the applicant is difficult due to reasons attributable to the user.
- 6. If a child under 14 years old applied without the prior consent of the legal representative.
- 7. Other cases that do not meet the requirements set forth in the Application for Use.
- ② The RIAW shall notify the applicant of the application by e-mail if the application for use is rejected or the approval is suspended in accordance with ①.
Article 8 (Change of Use Agreement) Members shall promptly change the information on the application form of the RIAW when applying for the use, and the user shall be liable for any problems caused by unchanged information.
Chapter 3 Obligations
Article 9 (Duties of the RIAW)
- ① The RIAW shall not engage in any acts that are prohibited by the Act or these Terms and do not violate the moral and customs, and shall endeavor to provide the service continuously and reliably as stipulated by this Agreement.
- ② The RIAW strictly manages the security system for protecting the user's personal information (including credit information) so that the user can use the internet service safely.
- ③ The RIAW shall deal with the opinions submitted by the members of the RIAW through the appropriate procedures, and if it takes a certain period of time to process, the RIAW shall inform the reason and the schedule of processing.
Article 10 (Obligations of User)
- ① The members of the RIAW shall comply with the matters stipulated in these Terms and Conditions, and instructions and instructions on service use.
- ② The RIAW strictly manages the security system for protecting the user's personal information (including credit information) so that the user can use the internet service safely.
- ③ The RIAW shall deal with the opinions submitted by the members of the RIAW through the appropriate procedures, and if it takes a certain period of time to process, the RIAW shall inform the reason and the schedule of processing.
- 1. Damage caused by neglecting the management of your ID and password
- 2. Use of the Service for commercial purposes without prior written consent of the RIAW and for purposes of hindering public order or morals of the RIAW.
- 3. If a member of the RIAW damages another person by post or contents posted by using the service.
- 4. If members of the RIAW use the service to illegally harm others, defamatory or infringe on intellectual property rights.
- ④ Members of the RIAW shall comply with the provisions of this Agreement and relevant laws and regulations.
Article 11 (Protection of Personal Information)
- ① The RIAW shall protect the personal information of the members of the RIAW that are provided at the time of application for use, the personal information that is provided further in the future, and the personal information that is generated during the use of the service, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations related to personal information protection.
- ② Purposes of collecting personal information and purpose of use are as follows. In this limit, members of the RIAW agree to collect and use personal information through this agreement.
- 1. Service provision and RIAW member management.
- 2. Provide a form that can not identify a specific individual as necessary for the data for the whole RIAW members or creating statistical data on some of the privacy, personalized service for personal, academic research, public purposes, and market research .
- ③ The RIAW shall not disclose or distribute the information of members of the RIAW that have been acquired in connection with the provision of services to others without prior consent of the applicant, and shall not be used for any purpose other than service related work.
An exception shall be made if the following conditions are met:
- ※ If there is a request from national or related institutions under the Basic Act on Telecommunication and related laws.
- ※ If there is a request according to the procedure set by other relevant laws and regulations.
- ④ If the RIAW is required to obtain consent from members of the RIAW, it is necessary to specify or notify in advance the matters stipulated in Article 16 (3) of the Act on Promotion of Utilization of Information and Communication Network such as the identity (affiliation, name, telephone number, and other contact information) of the person in charge of personal information management, purpose of collection and use of information, information related to providing information to third parties (contents provided, purpose of providing and information to be provided) and the members of the RIAW may withdraw this consent at any time.
- ⑤ The members of the RIAW may request the reading and correction of their personal information held by the RIAW at any time, and the RIAW shall be obliged to take necessary measures without delay. In addition, if RIAW members ask for corrections of errors, the RIAW will not use the personal information until correcting the errors.
- ⑥ Although the RIAW makes the best efforts to manage the data by setting the administrator for the protection of personal information, it does not take more responsibility than the effort to restore the damage of personal information caused by the situation beyond our control.
- ⑦ The RIAW or a third party who has received personal information from the RIAW shall destroy the personal information without delay when it has attained the purpose of collecting or receiving of the personal information.
Chapter 4 Service Provision and Use
Article 12 (Time and Limitation of Service Use)
- ① The use of the service shall be conducted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unless there is a special obstacle in the business or technical aspects of the RIAW.
- ② The RIAW may restrict the use time and use rights for services and special contents.
- ③ Some services may be paid for as needed.
Article 13 (Providing Information and Advertising) The RIAW can provide e-mail, letter-post mail, and post advertisements on service screens, homepages, and e-mails to provide service to members of the RIAW. However, the RIAW shall not be held responsible for any damages that may arise as a result of the members' participation or communication with the advertiser's promotional activities.
Article 14 (Management of Posts, etc.) he RIAW may take any action if the post or contents transmitted by the members of the RIAW fall under any of the following items :
- 1. To harm or defame others
- 2. Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- 3. In the case of hindering public order or morals of the RIAW
- 4. If there is a risk of interference with the operation of the service
- 5. In case of violation of other relevant laws and regulations
Article 15 (Change of Service Contents) The scope of the contents of the service change is the whole contents of the service, and when the contents of the service are added, changed or deleted, the necessary information is notified to the members of the RIAW.
Supplementary Provisions(Effective Date) This Agreement shall enter into force on September 1, 2018.
