History

Established in 2008 and integrated into the Research Institute of Asian Women in 2018, The Centre for Multicultural Studies has been actively pursuing multiculturalism-related projects. It retains its selection amongst the four anchor institutions in Seoul for the Social Integration Programme operated by the Ministry of Justice and helps facilitate education for and early adjustment of migrants. Through the publications of English-language OMNES: The Journal of Multicultural Society and Korean-language The Journal of Multicultural Society, the institute leads the academic community on issues relating to social integration, human rights, and migration.
